[FFRK] Fan Tool is now linked to Youtube .

We have a request form on our fan site, and this time we have received a request for an enhancement from there, so we have worked on it.

2 | Functional Enhancements (Summary)

We have now added the ability to link the site to Youtube .

Specifically, we are implementing a mechanism to link the content of the entries received with the Youtube videos of the entrants.

It looks like this.


If you include a Youtube video link in your entry, as shown above, it will be reflected on the site, and you can go to the video by tapping (clicking) on the Youtube icon on the site.

The method of copying a video link from Youtube as an example is as follows, although it will be a little different depending on the application used.

We hope that this will make it easier for the entrants themselves to manage their own videos and strategies, and for others to access the strategy videos of other players.


The individual results are rather nice to see a bird's eye view of the person's video as shown below, don't you think?

I think there are not many other sites that have a single entrance to Youtube videos for each dungeon, and I hope that this information will be widely useful for both player interaction and for reference in strategy.
 

3 | Functional Enhancements (Details)

3.1. Entry Method

To enter, you must tweet in the following format

The video link to Youtube is to be written under the party information.
Of course, this is optional, and the URL will be reflected in the ranking without it, so it can be omitted.

Once we receive your tweet, it will be reflected on the site after some time has passed as usual.(The site is updated every 15 minutes unless there is a problem.)


As mentioned above, the following image will be reflected.

3.2. Entry Assist Function

The entry itself is just to be tweeted in a certain format on Twitter, but if you are not sure of the format, do not know what dungeon name to specify, or are too lazy to type in characters, etc., we have a function to assist you in making your entry.

4 | Existing Entries

The mechanism of this site is to automatically aggregate tweets from Twitter and reflect them based on the content of the aggregated tweets, so naturally video information will not be added to existing entries.

(1) Delete existing tweets and re-enter

We apologize for the inconvenience, but you can go to the corresponding tweet from the Twitter icon of the corresponding entry on the rank page.

(2) Update your time and re-enter

Information on the site is managed by Twitter IDs, so only one entry can be made for the same dungeon. If you re-enter the dungeon and your time is shorter than the existing entry, the Twitter link will be switched. Therefore, if you can beat the shorter time, make a video of it, and enter it with the video link, it will be reflected in your entry.

(3) Individual requests

This is the quickest way to get the channel, so if you contact me, the site administrator (me) will try to link the channel to your channel.
Please provide us with the URL of your channel when you make a request.

5 | Aside

I actually had a hard time (technically) adding this feature.
Because, on Twitter, URL information in the body of a tweet is automatically replaced with a URL of a fixed number of characters for security reasons, not only for Youtube, so it was difficult to determine whether or not the URL information was a Youtube video link.

And of course, the information collected by the original API logic came in as visible text data, so the URLs of images, site URLs, retweets, and so on were not identifiable.

However, when I checked the API, I found that the URL before processing was managed in a separate array from the media information in the tweet, so it was possible to identify the tweet by referring to that information without referring to the body of the tweet, which solved the problem.
